Start VM in fullscreen in a new Space/Desktop

I've recently discovered the ability to make VBox fullscreen in a separate Space/Desktop to my main desktop. This is great, is there a way I can start a VM, having it go straight into full screen on a new Space?
Ideally I'd like to boot my Windows VM in the background when my Mac starts so I can switch between them with a 3 finger swipe.
