Hello,
I am using mac OS and have an XP professional system set on my virtual box.
I have properly configured all devices and folders, to have access to them from VB but got seriously stuck with LS2208 Symbol hand scanner.
I seem to have included the scanner in USB filter, but it has still an "unavailable" status.
It lloks if it was there, but was completely inactive.
Any help please?
thx,
Michal

Re: USB in guest XP professional
The USB device might be captured by your host system (Mac). If you start the VM before plugging-in the USB scanner in it should become available under XP.

Hello,
Thank you for your help, but I wish solution was so easy.
I already tried various, plug - unplug combinations, but windows does not see this device at all.
In some cases of plugging this device in, windows was popping up a window (new usb device found), but did not ever menage to recognize it, and it never showed it neither "my computer" nor "discs" view.
Any more ideas???
