VirutalBox Hard Drive Showing Full

I am running Windows 7ultimate 32 bit on the Virtual Box. I have 15.6Gig allotted disk space with a NTFS format. My host computer is showing 73% Free Space, HOWEVER Virtual Box is showing that my C Drive is full and that I have used all of the 15.6Gigs, The only thing I use this Virtual box for is to run a very small dos program and Windows Word only. Nothing else has been added and there used to be plenty of room.
I am running the latest installment of Virtual Box. My computer does update Virtual Windows regularly.
It would seem that 15.6gids would continue to be plenty of room to run the programs.
Any suggestions?

Windows retains a lot of stuff. restore points, temp file, all updates. My W7 is around 16GB and I don't use it for anything but support. Actually 16GB is not that much when you think about it.

You can clean up some of the stuff, but increasing the virtual drive to 25GB is a minimum in my book for Windows 7.

Thank you for the reply. I was unsure if it was the Windows updates or the updates of the Virtual Box. I will increase the size of the Drive.

At least 100 GB, better more. When it becomes bigger then the size needed really in the guest, then use CloneVDI to shrink. But dont use image sizes where you see its only enough for the next 2 weeks. For resizing the image you can use CloneVDI, too. After resizing dont forget to resize the system partition in the windows system control from the guest.

Windows 7 installation will typically take 15 GB of space after upgrades

The very minimum amount your disk must be is 20 GB to avoid any issue
If you want to use only few programs, you are good with 25 GB
If you plan on installing programs later, you should put 50 GB

100 GB would be overkill for me.

I increased the partition to 50G NTFS however Virtual Box is only recognizing the original 15g and continues to think it is full. I have restarted several times to no avail. I have been looking to see if there are some setting I can change.

Increase the partition size in Windows, using the Disk Manager

I assume you are talking about the partition within the Virtalbox Windows. I have already increased the size on the host computer. When I go to disk management in Virtual Windows there is no unallocated space. It only show a total of 15G

Thank you for the link, however I am not sure if I am doing this right. I went to the command prompt within the guest computer and typed in" VBoxManage modifyhd --resize 49480" nothing happened. Am I missing part of the equation?

On the link that was given, the person said that Fixed Drives could not be resized. Is that true? Does this mean I will have to uninstall virtual box and start all over to gain extra space? Really don't want to do that.

ON the host computer I used Easeus Partition Manager. Everything looks right on the Host Computer and it is showing the increased drive space.

If there is enough disk space on the host, you now need to increase the size of the Virtual hard drive. Follow the instructions I sent to do this.

I am not sure what you mean. I already increased the host drive where VirtualBox is located. When I go to Windows on VB it is still showing the same amount and not the expanded drive configuration. The link that you sent me says that fixed drives can not be expanded and it is a fixed drive.
See my other responses.
I appreciate your help.
