I have the same problem, that is in the post installation process , at the end of that , the Virtualbox crashed, but I found that if I switch to the full screen , it does not crash.

as the other user said.

Thanks for your helps.

Hi there,

The solution for this error is trying the post installation process in FULLSCREEN mode. It will guide you through the process without any crash and it will not results errors as mentioned in the rebooting after enabling kdump.

Craig Hennessey wrote:I have just experienced this problem, where VirtualBox would crash after choosing the kdump settings. I checked the logs and they showed :

Code: Select all

00:02:30.962565 Display::handleDisplayResize(): uScreenId = 0, pvVRAM=0000000007d10000 w=1024 h=768 bpp=32 cbLine=0x1000, flags=0x
I was running VirtualBox in a window. I changed this to run as fullscreen before getting to this point, and it then worked fine for me.

Thanks,

Craig.
Identical experience to Craig - running Win 7 host, Cent OS 6.x. Finally chose Red Hat 64-bit option, and THEN enabled full-screen mode, didn't change the kdump, and it went straight in perfectly. Many thanks to all that have contributed to this thread.
