VboxManage Ejects USB Automatically.

Post by AnshumanPT »

Oracle Virtual Box (Latest): 4.2.6 Running on Windows Host.
4 Virtual Machines running, All Windows XP SP3 with Guest Add-On installed.
I have 4 Same Kind of USB Drives (Kingston DataMax 4GB). The USB's are same, no difference at all.

With this code I find the UUID's of each USB (Kingston USB) that is attached.

Code: Select all

VboxManage.exe list usbhost
Then I send below command to insert each drive in respective 4 VM's

Code: Select all

vboxManage.exe controlvm VM-1 usbattach USBUUID-1
vboxManage.exe controlvm VM-2 usbattach USBUUID-2
vboxManage.exe controlvm VM-3 usbattach USBUUID-3
vboxManage.exe controlvm VM-4 usbattach USBUUID-4
This is scripted in a batch file, so all USB's are inserted in their VM's on a Fly.

But a few seconds later, the USB's come out of the VM's and are seen in Host again.

If I create a USB filter, then all the USB's are inserted in One Single Machine (VM).

This is happening 9 times out of 10 and some times it happens 10 of 10 times. This has spoiled my life !!

Is this a Bug in VboxManage or there is some other issue with this?
