Exchange

Post by jaysun »

Hi

I'm trying to install Server 2008 R2 and Exchange 2010 under Virtual box on my MacBook Pro as a test lab. I have managed to get Server installed and made it a DC. I then create a new Server 2008 R2 VM and made it a member of my Domain. When I try to set up Exchange (after preparing my DC/AD) but the Exchange setup fails saying it cannot contact AD.

Any help is appreciated

I fail to see any connection between this post and VirtualBox. The fact that you are using virtual machines does not turn an Active Directory problem into a VirtualBox problem. It really belongs in a Windows Server AD or Platform Networking forum.

What network are you using for your domain? What is the network config of the two servers?

I just thought someone on here may have had a similar issue and figured out it might have been a configuration setting on Virtualbox or something. I just find it odd that I can get the exchange box to join the domain but it couldn't get to AD through exchange setup.
