Hi, I've been using buildroid for several months until now, it's something like emulator to run android in virtualbox.
Today I upgraded my virtualbox from VirtualBox-4.1.16-78094-Win to VirtualBox-4.2.6-82870-Win.
There's no problem until I open the emulator, usually I only need to wait around 2 to 3 seconds for the 'android' logo to appear but it almost took one minute for the logo to appear. And when the logo appear, I need to wait another minute for it to start from the usual time 10 seconds.
When I use it, it responds really slow, it takes around 3 to 4 seconds to open the app list page.
I decided to revert the version back and the problem is gone.
I'm using windows 7 64 bit, the .ova I use is buildroid_vbox86p_4.0.4_r1.1-20120530.
Here's the buildroid website

Re: buildroid become really slow
Android (and buildroid) is not supported as a guest OS for Virtualbox, which will most likely result in issues and slowness like you describe.
Nethertheless, feel free to post about this on the Bugtracker (or add to an existing ticket) to provide a line of feedback to the devs about this.
Devs might not do anything about this, but at least, they have the information if they want to.
Also, buildroid has made a choice to use Virtualbox, and you should also seek support on their side - they seem to have choosen Virtualbox has their main virtualization platform and therefore support should come from them.
