4.2.6 Extension Pack Warnings

I want to install the extension pack on this version so we will have access to USB Thumb drives, Among other things. I read that there is a possibility of this extension Pack possibly having an adverse effect on the system. But there were no details. Can anyone supply me with those possible problems?

I can't think of a case where the extension pack had an "adverse affect on the system" - though perhaps you could define what that means.

I read it on the download site. I want to be sure this is something I want to do. but if you know of none, That is the best I can ask for.
