I am using VirtualBox for the first time, and I tried to load an operating system into it. The only one that I have is a Windows XP upgrade disc. When I go to load it, it says that setup cannot find a previous version of windows on your computer. Setup needs to verify that you qualify to use this upgrade product. Then insert xxx cd into the CD Rom.

So, a Windows upgrade disc won't work, or am I doing something wrong?

Sure the upgrade disk will work. But just like on a real machine you must have something for it to upgrade.
