Audio input, guest Windows XP, host Windows 7 64 bit

Hello,
I've been trying for months to get audio input to my Windows XP, guest with no luck. The audio out is fine, I just can't input with either the line in or USB. Has anyone solved this problem? I have Dragon Naturally speaking 9 and it won't install on windows 7. It installs fine on XP, that's the main reason I installed virtualbox.
