Hi, I have Win7 installed as the guest on a Linux Mint host and I've got everything to work brilliantly except for the sound. I have to run Lovefilm in Windows which is why I have it installed and I get sound but its too low without straining. I have searched for any posts but can't find any with this particular issue.
Any guidance would be appreciated as at the moment I can't use Lovefilm.
Cheers
Mike

Re: Sound volume too low
For video and sound best is to start it native.
Means dualboot linux/windows.
Maybe you can try higher priority for some processes in hosts Pulse audio server. Ask Google for this, i have not checked this for myself, i only know that there are some possibilities.

Re: Sound volume too low
Another hint: If its only to low: Set all Mixers in the guest to the max. Same try on the host.

Re: Sound volume too low
Thanx for your replies. The sound settings are all to the max. I could dual boot but I prefer to have Windows running inside Linux for the convenience of not having to keep rebooting. I suppose I could always buy an amplifier.

Re: Sound volume too low
Hi Stefan again, you've solved it for me, I turned the volume to max in the Linux host, which didn't occur to me, and I get full volume in the guest OS.
Thanx a lot for that, I'm one happy guy now.

Crappy Silverlight shit. Before 2012 Lovefilm worked with Flash on every OS. Good that it works for you. Have a nice new year and greetings to your family!

Yes its bad that one company can dictate to others how films can be streamed. Thanks very much for your wishes and I wish you the very same.

Re: Sound volume too low
FWIW, I fixed this issue with my Ubuntu 18.04 Host/Guest by adjusting the guest volume all the way down and then all the way back up. The guest volume was originally all the way up, but the volume was still too low. Moving it down and up fixed the issue.
