Best way to capture crash reports?

Hello,
I'm new to VirtualBox, but have been using VMWare and similar for years.
I've had a couple of crashes when clicking from my Win7-64bit guest back to my Win7-32bit host. Once I was installing some Windows updates inside the guest, another time simply trying to launch Firefox in the host. I don't see anything immediately prior to the reboot in Event Viewer logs on the host.
What is the best way to capture crash reports, assuming they are being collected and aggregated for analysis by someone? What data should we collect and how, and where should it be submitted?
I did see the Microsoft KB315263 on creating dump files, but am still not sure to whom those would be uploaded, assuming some ongoing analysis is in place.
Thanks in advance, and apologies if this is a FAQ.
