I am trying to mount a drive to install Ubuntu to, but the software will not let me use
any drive name except the default DVD drive letter D:\.
I need any drive letter other than D, because I have a DVD assigned to that D:\.
My operating system is the dreaded Windows 8, the bios will not accept a dual boot
Ubuntu operating system, which is why I am using Virtual Box.
How can I make this work? Help. Rob
windows 8 virtual box install with d:\dvd drive

Get the Ubuntu ISO from the website, mount the ISO to the CV/DVD drive of Virtualbox into the machine settings, make sure you have a disk in your SATA controller, start your VM and follow the instructions
