Extension Pack for VB v4.1.8.75467

Greetings:

I am running VB v 4.1.8.75467 on my Win7 laptop. It was running satisfactorily until I tried to upgrade it to latest version 4.2.4.81864, but the installation failed, citing a missing COM file. So, I reinstalled the the older version (4.1.8.75467), but it won't start properly because the Extension Pack is no longer compatible. I need the Extension Pack because I want VB to link to a USB device.

So, I went to the Oracle VB Downloads page and checked the three Extension Packs at the bottom of the page that are available for download. None of them support the version of VB I'm running. I downloaded each in turn, but none worked with my version of VB. I've attached the error messages I received with each of the three Extension Packs listed on he VB Download page, below this posting.

Where can I get the Extension Pack that is compatible with my version of VB ?

Because the USB 2.0 controller state is part of the saved VM state, the VM cannot be started. To fix this problem, either

install the 'Oracle VM VirtualBox Extension Pack' or disable USB 2.0 support in the VM settings (VERR_NOT_FOUND).

Thanks for the link. Unfortunately, the extension pack did not solve the error.

So, I uninstalled the VB, and installed the latest version from scratch, and it works fine. Apparently, it's a good idea to uninstall the older version before installing the newer one, but that minor detail wasn't mentioned in the installation process.
