I have lost my ability to use the network/internet in my XP guest since I switched from ATT to Charter last week. I didn't change any settings. I've gone in and played around with them but nothing seems to work. I'm stumped. The only change on the network side is that I used to have a router, now my laptop is direct into the modem. I may get a router again but for now don't need one. And of course the IP address would be new.
Any help is appreciated.

Without a router you would need to switch to NAT in the guest settings.
Add a host-only adapter in the guest settings as well so the host and guest can communicate.
