Honest opinion: current status

Hi, folks -

This thread is slightly less technical and more of a "state of the field" poll. I'm considering a Macbook Pro purchase, and I'd also like to run Windows via Virtualbox. I've used a Virtualbox'ed Windows guest on my current RHEL6 desktop, and I've found it not perfect but decent.

My question is this... When using the laptop for travel purposes, would you consider Virtualbox to be (a) fast enough and (b) reliable enough to give public PowerPoint presentations?

Let's please avoid the "use Mac Office" or "buy a PC" responses. :) I'm just curious if anyone out there has tried the above setup or, possibly, uses it regularly. I love the Virtualbox that I have on my desktop, but I use it pretty sparingly and occasionally encounter quirks. Sometimes viewing fullscreen slideshows introduces serious lag or lack of animations, for example, but this could be specific to the RedHat interface. Any insight would be appreciated!

Thanks -
Ryan
