I have a VB for Windows 7 which I use exclusively for work purposes. My MacBook has a specific hostname I assigned to it. The Win 7 VirtualBox has a hostname of this format XXX-XX-12345. Whenever I launch the VB and start working, say I switch back to OS X and drop into a shell and do a 'hostname' I get something weird like 'elkpakoh' or 'lauraslaptop' something crazy I've never heard of or no idea where it's coming from. Is there a feature in VB to have it not inherit any attributes from the VB into OS X? Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.
