VBox changing screen

Hi,
VBox is kicking me out of my game and changing to the VM.
To better explain; running Windows 7 host with Linux guest. I minimize the guest and play a game on Windows 7. VBox sporadically minimizes the game, and opens the guest but with a blank screen. I have to double click the blank screen to see the desktop. If I minimize the guest again, the game is then on the task bar and can be clicked to open and continue.
Is there a fix for this issue other than closing the guest VM?
