Atom processor

Post by calahanp »

Is it possible to replicate the settings for an virtual computer so that it has an Atom processor?

For example, we have a device running an Atom processor. I would like to replicate the hardware settings for this device in a virtual environment.I see how to change the CPU settings on a Virtual box machine I have loaded....but not sure if what I am asking for even exists!!

I am running the Virtual box on Windows 7 64 bit, and the guest OS will be Ubuntu 12.04. I just want to be able to test how well the guest OS performs when I throw a load at it.

Thanks!

Afraid not. VirtualBox is not a CPU simulator, so the guest has the same processor the host has.
