V-Box freezing up
V-Box freezing up
Hi all....I'm a newbie at using V-Box and I need some help. Host operating system = Win-8. I loaded V-Box, created a new user, and then attempted to load in the virtual machine Win-XP-Pro. All goes well until it gets to the page that has all of the legal stuff. At the bottom of the page it gives the options "F8=Agree", etc. I can use the page-up/down keys, but the F8 key, or the other options at the bottom of the page, do nothing. I can't get past this page in the installation process. Maybe I need to do some changes in the V-Box setup. Anyway, I would appreciate the help.

Re: V-Box freezing up
Moving to Windows host.
Did you select only the defaults and add noting else when you created the guest?
Also, post the guests log file (as an attachment)
See Online Users Manual for the location of the file.

Sorry for the delayed response. Preparing for the holidays took over!. I used all default settings. Attached is the log file you requested. Please help install V-Box as I need to install my CAD program in a XP operating system.

Re: V-Box freezing up
Is this XP-32bit or a XP-64bit you are attempting to install?
Re: V-Box freezing up
Hmmmm. I'm not sure. My desktop had an AMD 64-bit motherboard and the version of XP-Pro was a 2002 upgrade. I can't find any documentation on the disk or its folder indicating 32-bit or 64-bit. I just rebuilt my desktop to a 64-bit MSI motherboard with an 8-core processor running Win-8. Not sure if this info helps. Maybe you could give me the settings in V-Box for both 32 and 64?
