I´m trying to create a Virtual machine (Windows 7 Enterprise 64-bit) on my Windows 8 PRO 64-bit desktop but keep getting error 0xc000035a, "Attempting to load a 64-bit application, however this CPU is not compatible with 64-bit mode.". I'm running version 4.2.4 of VirtualBox, my desktop is only a few months old and runs on a quad-core Intel i7-3770 CPU. I checked the BIOS option for virtualization and it's enabled.
I did recently install Windows 8 PRO on my desktop (clean installation), before that I had Windows 7 installed on it and working with VirtualBox was no problem at all. Does anyone have any idea why it's not working?

You need to disable/remove Hyper-V or disable the lock on VT-x at boot.
