how do we uninstall a VDI hard disk partition created by VB during the installation of windows os?

A VDI is just a file, it is not a partition in any sense.
It can be deleted like any other file, however that would leave a broken VM. So, instead use the GUI to remove the VM. When it asks if you also want to delete the physical files associated with the VM, say "Yes". If you have already removed the VM but answered No to that question... then just use the host OS to delete the VM folder files yourself.
