Hello,
I am running VB 4.2.4 on Mac OS X 10.8.2. And use Ubuntu 12.04. So far everything was working fine.
Today I installed “OS X Mountain Lion 10.8.2 Supplemental Update 2.0”.
Now I can start my machine. Ubuntu asks to log in and than the complete machine crashes ("Aborted").
Any ideas?
in $HOME/Library/VirtualBox/VBoxSVC.log I can find this:
00:01:00.425844 nspr-2 ERROR [COM]: aRC=VBOX_E_INVALID_VM_STATE (0x80bb0002) aIID={22781af3-1c96-4126-9edf-67a020e0e858} aComponent={Machine} aText={Machine is not locked for session (session state: Unlocked)}, preserve=false
00:01:00.771086 nspr-3 ERROR [COM]: aRC=VBOX_E_IPRT_ERROR (0x80bb0005) aIID={22781af3-1c96-4126-9edf-67a020e0e858} aComponent={SessionMachine} aText={Saved screenshot data is not available (VERR_NOT_SUPPORTED)}, preserve=false
VBoxSVC.log (END)
looks strange. But what is the problem?

Do not post partial logs. Post the complete log as a compressed attachment (e.g. as a .zip).

SOLVED: Enabling "PAE/NX" solves this problem. Strange, but works.
