Sorry if this has been reported before, but *frequently* when going back and forth from a windows 7 host to a linux guest, when I go "out" of the guest and into windows, it thinks that the ctrl key is "down" forever...just pointing it out (the work around is to hit it once--it toggles back to its normal operation).

I have seen something similar for as long as I can remember. Setup is Solaris 11 host, Sun Ray thin clients and VirtualBox. When switching workspaces to a full-screen, multi-head VB session, sometimes all key modifiers (control, shift and alt) no longer work. This includes losing the "host" key to get out of full-screen. The solution is to minimize the left screen and use the workspace-switcher to go to another workspace then come back to the workspace.

I don't know if this is a Solaris thing, a Sun Ray thing, a VirtualBox thing, a multi-head thing, a workspace thing or what.

The problem manifests itself for me in windows, assuming it's the same problem (sounds like it may be...)

Can't say I have ever noticed this - have you managed to find/log a bug?
In fact, is this the same as what you are seeing?

And which CTRL key? Remember, the right CTRL is the "host" key, so it's behaviour does change when VBox has focus.

This has been covered in many posts on the forum, but I don't remember seeing a real solution for this.

rogerdpack, feel free to update that ticket if you can find a reliable way to reproduce this. Obviously it will be very hard for the developers to fix if we can't reproduce it, or at least draw conclusions from someone else's reproduction scenario.
