I'm having a problem creating a new virtual machine. I was trying to install a GIS free software (Inisig).

ID error: HostMemoryLow

How can I solve it?

Thanks,

PS: This is the VBox.log:

Please post log files as zipped attachments, don't just paste the text, as that only makes for truncated logs and irritatingly large messages. I have fixed it for you this time.

Happily, being truncated wasn't a problem with this log because the problem is obvious right at the start.

You are assigning 1024MB for the exclusive use of the running VM, however 1024MB is twice the total RAM of your host, and almost 5 times the amount of RAM actually available. 128MB is probably the largest VM you can run on this host (and even then probably not smoothly, since I assume it only has a single core). It isn't clear to me what OS you are trying to install, but 128MB would be a tight fit for any modern OS (XP and later). Windows 2000 might be happy.

Forget virtualization. With 512 MB XP does not work very well alone. At least 2 GB are needed.
