This was never an issue, but all of a sudden when I go to Devices to add my USB port is now says it is Fails to Attach to Vbox because it is in use by someone else.. see error message in attached screenshot.
Any ideas? I was running a version of Vbox that was about 1.5 years old and this issue came out of no where when it worked fine for the last year and a half.. so I updated everything to try to fix it and I am now running Vbox 4.2.4 r81684 installed as well as the expansion pack. But the problem persists.
My Host is a Mac Book Pro from summer 2010 running MAC OS X version 10.6.8 with all the latest updates..
Thanks for the help!

Re: USB Port not accessible in VBox
Same Problem with same version of MAC (OS X 10.6.8 ) Host and same version of Virtual Box 4.2.4.
Also the guest graphics are unstable on this version of Virtual Box. I ended up installing Version 4.2.3 and got connected to the USB device eventually through the XP guest but it is still flaky even after adding the USB device into the filter on the guest configuration. Hopefully they can sort it out in future releases. This is the first real problem I have had with Virtual Box after a number of years so no real complaints.
