Faile to open a session for the virtual machine

Failed to open a session for the virtual machine
WindowsXPpro-btwin-4-pc-crash-anybody.
No error info.

Normally this kind of error is caused by a power failure or shutting the host down while the guest is running. That kind of thing.

Look in the folder where the guests VDI is stored and see if you see a *.vbox-prev and *.vbox If the *.vbox file is empty then replace it with the *.vbox-prev file.

Hint: after backing up the *.vbox-prev file somewhere, delete the *.vbox and remane the *.vbox-prev to *.vbox
The * stands for the guests name.
