Simulate a completely serparate network; Configuring Windows

Hello everyone,

I was just wondering if there was a way to simulate a network that would be viewed completely external from my LAN.
Reason being is that I want to start learning how to set up VPNs and more complicated networking setups for remote usage but I cant test out alot of these things without leaving home haha

Any help would be very appreciated.
Just a push in the right direction would be great.

Internal networking and host only networking are entirely virtual. See the user manual for a description of networking modes.
