No virtual media manager guest additions problem

Am on MacOSX 10.8.2 host, Windows XP guest. vb v.4.2.4 Set up of virtual machine went fine. Then have not been able to set up guest additions because after looking in \Contents\mac os, virtual media manager does not exist. The other way \32bit\os2 I have no clue how to plug that in as I am not a techie and I wonder if it would do any good if file does not exist. I downloaded and setup another 4.2.4 and again no virtual media manager. What is going on here? Any help is appreciated.

With the guest started, on OS X Menu Bar, notice Devices --> Install Guest Additions ...
