Critical Error Windows 8 VM

Post by dizzy »

Hello, I get a critical error each time I attempt to launch a Win8 VM on Virtual Box 4.2.4 on Win 7 64. I have tried different drive types (VHD, VDI) and different locations for the virtual drive. each time is the same. I have also allocated more memory for the VM, but the same problem exists. See below for the log info. Any help determining cause is appreciated.

The error code shows up whether I use 4096 or 2048. There is 4GB available, why would 2048 state host memory low? Note using a setting of 1024 allows OS to boot, but I don't know how useful it will be.

I have no idea (I'm not there to check). All I know is if you see a host low memory error you have to lower the ram allocated to the guest or shut things off on the host.
