How to recover my guest on 1st, single, monitor ?

Post by enon »

Hello,

I encounter a strange thing  In fullscreen mode, I've selected monitor #2, but the trouble is that I've not any second monitor (my graphic card supports one, but nothing is wired).

Now, I can kill the guest from the Windows host, then restart in windowed mode, but once I switch again in fullscreen mode, guest disappears toward ghost monitor. I've read around in the forum that fullscreen mode always starts in 1st monitor and/or autoswitch to active one when a monitor is unplugged... But, in my case, it's not the case : I can't succeed to retrieve fullscreen on 1st monitor. Is it a bug ?

How to solve this ? Is there an undocumented keyboard shortcut or some setting I could change before to start the guest ?

Eric

Post the guests .vbox file (as an attachment) Compress it or it will not be allowed.

Sorry to say I can't help you. Mac OS X as a guest in Windows is not supported.
Look at the file yourself and change the screen0 value. Backup first.

Solved ;) Thanks anyway... But, who told you it's OSX ? I name all my machines Mac OS X, even when it's Windows 8) Well, could you tell me where is the link for unofficial guest additions ?
