hi all. new user here.
i have a MacBookPro and a Mac Pro which i previously had Windows 7 installed using Parallels. this means i have a .pvm file on each machine.
i have gone ahead and installed VB and Windows 7 on each of these machines and i am wondering if i can simply use the existing Windows setups that are contained in the .pvm file.
this would save me a great deal of time in setting things up particularly with one piece of software.
OTOH parallels has really worked horrendously particularly on my laptop so if there is some possibility of something being corrupted i would prefer to do a fresh install altogether.
also, any specific terms on what this is called would be great so i can search on this a little.
TIA!
can i re-use a paralells pvm file after a new VB install?

No, VirtualBox cannot use the private control files of other VM platforms. You can however build a VirtualBox VM around the hard disk image (.hdd file) of the Parallels VM. Remember to remove the Parallels guest integration tools.
