Ok save this file on your drive and change it back to laptopwindows.vbox and (AFTER you backup the original laptopwindows.vbox) replace it with this one and see if it works.

Remember to not have anything VirtualBox open when you do this.

it works. Im not going to ask what how why. But just to say thank you and sorry for my computer inadequacies.

Hi,
I know this is resurrecting a dead post but I wanted to say thank you. The information here (and a bit of editing on my vbox file) made the difference between starting over simply starting up.
