Start the main VirtualBox program and then go to the guest setting -> storage and remove the guest additions from the virtual CD.

thanks for the reply.
When I start the main virtual box there is only the error and the new button is the only thing available. I can go to the tabs above and go to virtual media manager/optical discs and there has Vboxguestaddition.ios. It gives me the option to remove. I tried that it clears but the main sc VBox screen stays the same and if I close and open again im at the beginning

Ok.
Post the VirtualBox.xml file And the guests *.vbox file
As an attachment

Note you will need to change the extension to .txt or it will be rejected

Finder? Search for VirtualBox.xml

I don't know the exact location myself since I don't have a Mac.

The *.vbox file should be here
$HOME/VirtualBox VMs/{machinename}
