virtualbox network bridge on wk8r2 server

Post by philsam »

Hello,

I have installed VB on a virtual wk8r2 server (itself in a esx server).
The installation seems good. I can start a virtual machine W7,
but i wish use the network bridge function. When i'm starting a VB windows 7, the host server network connexion becomes unconnected.
Anyone have a solution ?

Otherwise i can try to use a boot pxe with the network nat. But i don't know where i can find or how create the 'vmname'.pxe that i must put on the .virtualbox\tftd directory.

Thanks for your answers.

Just to clarify - you are running a Virtualbox VM into a VMWare VM, yes?

yes.
My WDS server (wk8r2) is in a ESX server.
I wish test my pc installation process on the server with use of VB.

Running a VM into a VM is not supported, especially if you are running it into 2 differents products. There is no way to tell the behaviour of anything...
You must run VB on a physical host, not into a VM.
