Hi All,
Need some help if anyone has had this situation and/or could suggest a solution.
I have an XP sp3 system virtualized on top of a Win 7 host and am using the XP virtual system to RDP (remote desktop connection) into a Win 2008 terminal server (non local) application. I am trying to print something off the terminal server using my local shared printer (printer is installed on both the virtual and the host systems), but my printers are NOT showing up when I RDP from the VIRTUAL system.!
When I RDP to the terminal server from the Win7 HOST computer, I can see the shared printers via the RDP connected application running on the Win2008 server'~it displays: HP printer (redirected)~' and I am able to print without issue.
How can I effectively share the printer from my Virtual XP system and have it display on the RDP connected system?
Any advice is greatly appreciated!

Re: Virtual XP RDP to Terminal Server - Print to local print
If you are using the Remote Desktop Client builtin windows (also known as mstsc.exe) you should check if into the Options > Local Ressources Tab > Local Devices and ressources, "Printers" is checked.
Can you confirm it is? If you are using a .RDP file where you saved the connection info, you need to laod that file and check its config. Agian, please confirm it is checked.
