Quit one of more memory resident programs or remove unnecessary utilites from your Config.sys and autoexex.bat files and restart your computer.

I get the error message above when trying to run windows 98 after I have installed it.
I tried searching forums before posting with the above but didnt see anything posted

4GB memory for Windows 98?
Try using something a little more reasonable, like 128MB 0r 256MB.

Awesome thanks, that worked 
All i need to do know is find a way to make the mouse move at normal speed (dead slow even in 98 with mouse settings up full) and I am good to go

The best you can do is make sure the absolute pointer is enabled in the guest settings
