Virtual Box won't run after install

Hello,

I am running Windows 7 64bit on my Desktop. It has 4GB of ram and the processor is a AMD quadcore 2.51GHz. I installed Virtual Box, but when I try to run it for the first time (haven't even been able to get to the guest set-up wizard), nothing happens. I can see in process manager that VirtualBox.exe and VBoxSVC.exe are running, but no windows show up.

I've tried a re-install - no help.

Any ideas?

With out logs files or error messages, none.

You can attach logs as a .zip.
Details on where to find the logs are in the documentation.

The only logs I've been able to find are the VBoxSVC.log files. I've not been able to open the software enough to make a VM, so there are no VBox.log files. I've attached a copy of the ones I do have.

When I click on Start->All Programs-> Oracle VM Virtualbox -> Oracle VM Virtualbox, the 2 processes start (VirtualBox.exe and VBoxSVC.exe). Nothing happens after this point, except that VBoxSVC.exe uses 25% of the CPU constantly (almost like it's hung??).

Any help? would be much appreciated.

I would make sure that you have enabled hardware virtualization in your bios, and that does not fix it I would uninstall VirtualBox and reboot then install it again and yes reboot to be sure that everything is complete.

After an uninstall, reboot, and re-install, still the same results... Now I'm really stuck

I would report this to bugtracker. If you have not signed on to Bugtracker before you will need to select a new Nickname to be able to report issues.
It would also help if you can post the ticket number here so other can see the progress, add information, or see the final results.
