Version 4.2.4 disables wi-fi connection on XP 64-bit

I just recently installed Windows XP 64-bit and tried to use VirtualBox 4.2.4. Everytime I load VirtualBox, I lose internet connection. Even though the wi-fi appears to be connected but I won't be able to connection until I reboot the PC.
I've just uninstalled and wonder if any settings I did wrong to make it disconnect my internet.
Thanks,

XP-64 is your host? Or did you mean it's a guest?
What does "Everytime I load VirtualBox" mean? Are you talking about runner the manager UI, or do you mean launching a VM?

Reinstall and when you are asked which parts to install make sure everything under Networking is disabled/not installed.

I'm not sure I got the term right, but the PC running Virtualbox is Windows XP 64-bit. I have Windows XP 32-bit on VirtualBox. I use it for testing. I worked before fine until I reinstalled Windows XP 64-bit (non-virtual). Afte rebuilt the PC, I installed the latest version of VirtualBox and all these happened.

It seems as long as I launch VirtualBox without going to any OS from the menu, my Windows XP 64-bit loese its network connectionto web. I see the wi-fi still has green bar, but I can't access any web sites. When that happens, I can't regain the connection by choosing repairing, reset, or ipconfig /reset in cmd (afte quitting it first). The only way to get the connection back is reboot the PC.

I will give it a try, but I do want network connection in Virtualbox guest and the hosting OS too.
Thanks,

I would instead try disabling the host-only network in the Windows host and see if that brings everything back to normal. For what ever reason when ever I see this issue in Windows the user usually disables the host-only adapter and that resolves the issue.
Of course this does not actually fix what ever the issue is with your install but it is a work around. If you need the host-only adapter you need to troubleshoot the reason and more than likely post a ticket to
bugtracker

@wfzen
Just so you know, you don't need host-only networking for the guest to have network connectivity. Since you uninstalled already, when you reinstall disable that (You just use the NAT thing)
