Drag and drop and sharing not working

I am sorry if I posted my thread in wrong section.
I am using window 7 and in virtualbox I ave windows 8 and Ubuntu.
I try to use the feature drag and drop but it fails.
I try to install guest addon but still doesnt work in linux and in window 8 it shows error and installation got stop.
When I click on setting then General > Advance
bidirectional is already selected ib both (windows 8 and in linux) but still it doesn't work.
I tried sharing but it shows the drive name but I can't access.
I have done everything in my window 7 drive properties for sharing .

I search on youtube and on google but nothing helps me out so I thought this is the onl place is left now.

At the moment its only working for linux guests. Guest additions must be installed in the guest.

GA are installed in the linux guest?

You need to set the direction to host - guest in the settings for dnd. Bidirectional will not work yet.

Moving to Linux guests
