Pointer issues in XP with USB Monitors

Post by JustinBuist »

I tried searching for people with similar problems but nothing came up.

I've got an XP guest and I'm enabling USB monitors (via a DisplayLink 165) which works but the pointer is in the wrong spot once the second monitor comes on. Well, it displays where I want it, it's just that all the clicks register at a constant offset (like, hundreds of pixels) from where the pointer is, which is dependent on what resolution and where (left, right, above, or below) the second monitor is oriented.

I've tried turning off absolute mouse positioning, I do have the guest addons installed, and I have tried this both RDPing into the machine and running it from the actual Virtualbox GUI application.

Anybody know how I might fix this?

Oh, and the purpose is so that I can hang 5 of these USB adapters off the vbox host, wire them up to 32" monitors and then use VLC to display RTSP feeds for IP cameras. Sounds weird, but it's the best that I've come up with.

Thanks for any help.
