Nested VMs and Multiple CPUs

On an Ubuntu host I'm running a Win7 guest. Inside that Win7 guest I want to run a Debian guest. The problem is when I configure the nested Debian guest I can't select more than one CPU. How can I enable multiple CPUs within the nested guest? My hardware is a Fujitsu T730 laptop, and my VBox version is 4.2.4.
