Sharing Documents folder to My Documents on Win7 guest

I'm running VB 4.2 latest on MacOS X 10.8.2, hosting Win7. I'd like to share my Documents folder on the Mac with the guest as part of My Documents but it's not working. Says something about not being able to do it because it's not indexed. I've shared my Desktop and home directories successfully with the guest, and I can certainly put a symlink into the guest My Documents to my Mac Documents folder, but that's clunky.

Thoughts on how to do this are welcome.

(I'm hopeful that's a coherent question - this is something that "comes with" both Parallels and VMware Fusion, looking to do the same thing with VB.)
