Installing VirtualBox nuked NIC on WinXP Host

Hi there,

Last night I tried installing VirtualBox on my netbook running WinXP because I am travelling starting tomorrow morning and wanted to be able to work with my VM while I'm away. I exported appliance from my Win7 PC host (Linux guest) and installed VirtualBox on my WinXP netbook, then imported appliance.

After I did so, it basically nuked my wireless network on my netbook -- doesn't matter whether the VirtualBox software is running or not. I tried restarting, and uninstalling VirtualBox in the hopes that it would fix it, but the uninstall just hung at the "Preparing to uninstall" screen. Worse, is that even though VirtualBox is still installed (and runs if you ask it to), it no longer shows in the Add/Remove Programs window. Even worse, is that I tried rolling back my NIC driver to a previous version, and still nothing. Have never had any issues with my netbook, or its NIC before now.

So basically, the night before travelling, not only do I have a non-functional VirtualBox, but it completely killed my NIC which is the primary reason I am bringing my netbook -- 'net connectivity.

Any help anyone can offer with getting VirtualBox off of my netbook, and getting my NIC to work again would be sincerely appreciated within the next 12 hours.

Thanks in advance!

Got the NIC sorted finally, by completely uninstalling all drivers and reinstalling them. Still at a loss as to how to uninstall VirtualBox completely from my system, though, so any help with that is appreciated.
