Can I move/clone a VM to a different location?

Post by o1sowise »

My current VM's files reside in my MAC home directory on my startup drive.
Is it possible to either:
  • Move move the VirtualBox VMs directory to a different drive
OR
  • Clone the VM but have its files reside on a different drive?

... to both.

Especially easy if the VMs were created by VBox v4 and later. Details previously discussed ad nauseum, use Google (with "site:forums.virtualbox.org") to find them. Ignore discussions more then 18 months old.

Thank you. It's quite easy.

I found these two posts (one and two) to be helpful.
