I need to setup software on an XP Pro guest running on Virtualbox on a Win7 host.
The program has legacy versions that will not run on Win7 that I need to support legacy files.
(Interestingly, the newest versions of the software run perfectly on XP Pro.)
Licensing for the product is Flexlm with hasp dongle.
A few questions:
- Can I setup a usb hasp dongle / Flexlm license service on my Virtualbox XP guest?
- Can I point to a Flexlm license running on Win7 host from within the XP guest?
- Any other tips for running Flexlm based tools?

Re: Flexlm License Server XP Pro Guest / Win 7 Host
Assuming that you can get the USB passthrough to work to the guest and the dongle is a USB device and not a LPT device that you are converting, I would think it should work. The other questions would be better asked from Flexlm.
