Re: Anyone got webcam working?
I am not sure about anything other than Linux host but my laptops built in webcam works in a guest. Little sketchy due to lower frame rate but it works. The webcam is seen as a USB device so you have to be able to use USB devices and have everything that is needed for that.
Re: Anyone got webcam working?
integrated usb web cam has some issues with busy status, cant connect it to guest, so i decide try external usb webcam.
is there any chance to get it working?
do u have any ideas?
everything seems fine, after plugin there is notificiation about VBOX USB Driver, then its disconnected from windows host and connected do ubuntu guest - then guest freeze.

Re: Anyone got webcam working?
You have not said but from your description it sounds like a Windows host, which has always had issues with USB, hence the reason to unplug start the guest and then plug the device in. Post the guests log file (as an attachment).
