VBOX Crashing

Post by Greg McFarlane »

Hello

I have a Windows7 guest on a W7 host that has been working well.
Today it began exhibiting a behaviour where it starts up and says it encountered a critical error.

The 'what has changed' is that i had a memory fault over the weekend and the machine stopped cold. I did a startup repair on the host.

The VBox message suggested i post the log here for help. I am doing that now.

If anyone can help, that would be great.

Thanks in advance

Greg

I tried several times. This is the third attempt. I have the other 2 as well if anyone would like to review them.

You have assigned more RAM than you have available to the guest

Thanks PerryG

I had upgraded my memory from 4-->8gig. Then the new memory seemed to run into a problem, so I reverted to the old modules.

In the mean time i had changed the Vm to make use of the new modules.

Rookies....:-)
