Mulitple VMs connected to External Drive

Post by Styxman »

I am running a WIn 7 host and 2 - Vista VMs. I can't seem to connect to an External USB drive on both VMs at once (Connected to the drive inside the VM by mapping a network drive in Vista). I start the first VM and it picks up the drive right away, but when I start up the second VM, it cannot connect to it. Doesn't matter which order I start them in....always the first one is fine, but the second VM can't connect. Is there a setting in the VMs that I'm missing. I'm using Bridged Networking, if that helps. Thanks for your time.

It's a defining feature of a shared folder that it can be... shared. I assume that's what you're using, and you don't mean raw disk access?
