Hi,
I'm running a Windows 7 64bit host system (i3, 4GB RAM).
Has anyone been able to install a Fedora 17 64bit (Gnome) guest on a similar system? Mine bombs out straight away?
Cheers

Hi,
Sorry it was more just a general inquiry as to whether anyone else had successfully installed it, but in answer to the information required:
VirtualBox Version: 4.2.4 r81684
No guest additions installed
Host: Windows 7 64bit, 4GB RAM
Guest: Fedora 17 64bit, 1GB RAM
Log file is attached.
Basically, I've downloaded the Fedora iso, then created a new Fedora Machine within VirtualBox, and inserted the iso into the drive, and then started the machine. Once started it appears to go through and then shows an error message saying can't continue, and then bombs out.
Thankyou for any help
Much appreciated

When creating the new guest did you select Fedora or Fedora-64?
From the looks of it you selected Fedora and not the 64 because the io apic bit is off.
Code: Select all
00:00:08.383581 IOAPIC <integer> = 0x0000000000000000 (0)
Turn it on in the guest settings and see if it helps.
